THE BARE SUGAR TOUR 🍭
Everytime I attend a show, I appreciate the UK music scene even more than I thought I ever could. I started listening to Ragz Originale right before we went into lockdown, and just like many others, I was introduced to his sound with “Brush U”. Ragz himself has described this song as one that changed his life, and I honestly understand why.
Once I discovered his music, I began to wonder where this man has been all my life. Have I been hiding under a rock or something?, Because I've gone all these years not privy to this particular type of sound in the UK. You know a song is one of them ONES when it’s less than 3 minutes and you have no choice but to keep it on repeat because it’s just that good.
I have this unhealthy habit of almost stalking an artist once I discover them, and I go deeeep into a rabbit hole of finding all the projects that were created before the artist became who they are today.
As some of you know, if it’s not evident already, I’m a literal whore for concerts and shows of the artists that I love. Unfortunately I had JUST missed a show around the time I discovered Ragz, so I had to patiently wait a few years before the Bare Sugar Tour was finally announced.
Luckily Ragz had released so many bangers in between, Code Red, No Doubt ft Knucks & Lady Donli, the ICONICY project with MiniKingz and of course, Bare Sugar. I was able to bring myself up to speed and learn the artistry and individuality that Ragz brings to the UK music scene and I can proudly say that for me he’s at the top of the list with some of the greatest artists when it comes to this music thing.
I had the honour of joining Ragz along with his day ones, for an intimate show at SOHO house the night before to get a taste of what was to come at the last night of the Bare Sugar tour. The setting was perfect and I was even more excited to be amongst 1000+ people singing at the top of their lungs. I’d asked Ragz if he was ready for the big night and surprisingly he seemed very calm and collected, because I personally would be bricking it knowing that every single listener of my music will be in one room expecting a great show. But nonetheless , he delivered.
The big night finally arrived, and the feeling in the room can’t really be described. You know that everyone is there for the same reason and that alone is a surreal experience in itself. Ragz performed a medley of tracks, some from the very beginning of his career including singles from the txt ur ex - EP, WOAH, and of course most recently, BARE SUGAR.
I managed to quickly catch up with Ragz a couple weeks after the show.

Ragz has since been working tirelessly to remind us why he’s top 2 and not #2. BARE SUGAR: SWEET NOTHINGS will be ours in a matter of days now, with tickets available to purchase to the tour commencing later this year. Safe to say we’re in for a SWEET treat!
